Yes, many people use a pill cutter to take 1/2 of the 37.5mg dosage because the whole pill is a bit too strong for them. Welcome to the forums, by the way

THANKS FOR MY ONLY REPLY.....**BUT** I MEANT ....CAN I TAKE ONE PILL AND ANOTHER HALF, A DAY?

Obviously I cant say yes or no directly, since I am not a doctor. But, I was Rx'd to take 2 pills a day. 2 of the 37.5mg tablets. 1 when i wake up, and 1 at noon (assuming there are more than a few hours between the two, lol). I have yet to find anyone else with the same Rx dosage, and the pharmacist even said take caution, if I start to feel too jittery or just not right, then knock it down to one...

I too was wondering about taking 2 tablets also. one just doesnt seem to work for me. I too take 1 in the morning and another in the afternoon. How long have you been doing this? Sometime I even think about taking a third,but a little scared, they just dont seem to be workin as well as I thought they would.

I have been wondering the same thing. I feel as if I need to take more than 1 (37.5) pill a day. I don't go back to the Dr. for about 2 more weeks but it seems that I don't have the energy I am supposed to have. I originally went to the Dr. on 4/6/10 & my starting weight was 257. I don't know if I have lost any weight yet because I am going to simply wait until I return to the Dr. I fear I have lost nothing. I feel no different & look the same to me. So when I go back to the Dr. & (hopefully not) find out that I have not lost any/enough weight then I am going to ask him if I cane take 2 pills or 1 & 1/2 a day.

I just received phentermine in the mail that I purchased on line and they came
from China. 37.5 @ 300+ and they don't look like the ones that i had gotten from a doctor a few years back. The pills are thicker and have an A 159 on them and do not have the same blue speckles on them. I am afraid to take them since they are from China and when I purchased them on line the internet sight didn't say the pills were coming from Chine (the package was marked "Gift") when the arrived in the mail. I also didn't know that it was not legal to purchase them over the net. Any information would be appreciated.

Hi, I started this pill on February 2nd, went to the Dr. March 1st to check in and I had lost 25 pounds, I knew I lost a significant amount of weight because I could feel it and see it in my clothes. But...............I am still taking it have only lost 5 more pounds, I guess I think I should lose more. I too feel like I need to take either a half or another one around lunch time, I take mine at 5am on my way to work. I guess I can only stay on this one more month and then I have to stay off for 3 months. Does anybody know if that is true? It does not make me jittery but I get dry mouth and I find it difficult to eat very much. I am eating Smart Ones only. Good Luck to everyone.

I've been wondering the same thing and I'm glad I found this post! I don't have a pill cutter though. You think a razor will work just as well? It's definitely a little strong for me and I'd really like to take just the one half. Thanks!
